an introduction of sorts

Well, despite my desire to do Blaugust this year, I am clearly not aiming for that rainbow diamond given that I’ve missed the first two days of posts. Oops. But in the spirit of the challenge, I figured I would do an introduction post for the three of you who may not already know me.

Hi! I’m Tart, I started out in the blogging world many moons ago with my WoW blog, PW: Bubble. I transitioned over to a more catch all blog after a few years when I stopped raiding at a high level. I always have lofty goals of writing regularly but life seems to be a fan of getting in the way. Around here you’re likely to see posts about books, what I’m listening to, crafting, games. and general life stuff.

For a little more about me, I’m recently 40, with 2 cats, a dog, and I live with my long term partner. I’m pagan and a practicing witch. I also have multiple chronic illnesses, including fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (pots), and cptsd. I’m also autistic and working on unlearning a lifetime of masking.

Since I am largely a homebody (thanks illnesses and anxiety!) my hobbies are mostly indoor related. Knitting and reading are my two main hobbies, though I do also spin yarn, cross stitch, do makeup and nail art. I occasionally play games, though not nearly as many as I used to and they are almost always cozy games that I can jump in and out of. Right now the main ones I’m playing are The Sims and Dreamlight Valley. With books I will read just about anything, but a large portion of what I read is romance and fantasy though more urban fantasy and not high fantasy.

So there’s a little bit about me and what you’ll find around here if you decide to stick around!

Nice to see you’re taking part! I love Dreamlight Valley, really want to make the time to play through it properly sometime, have only put a couple hours in so far.

Hi, I just stumbled upon your site because of Blaugust! I also read books :) I was more of a sci-fi and fantasy reader, but I’ve been reading more and more romance lately. I’m not that much into contemporary romance, I prefer historical and any romance with elements of fantasy/sci-fi/urban fantasy. I’m glad I found your blog!
